Electronic Resources Management Librarian
Description
The Electronic Resources Management Librarian oversees the lifecycle of the Broome Library’s electronic resources, including licensing, discoverability, access and accessibility, administration and support, operating under the day-to-day supervision of the Head of Collections & Resource Management, and works closely with a supportive team including a Systems Librarian, a Library Programmer, and an Acquisitions Specialist.
This position develops, recommends, and implements and maintains an operational management strategy for the Library’s electronic resources. The Electronic Resources Management Librarian monitors and manages the entire complex life cycles of e-serials, e-books, databases, and streaming video, and applies best practices for discoverability and accessibility of Library resources to improve electronic resource access, usability and accessibility. The position works collaboratively with Library faculty and staff, vendors, and campus IT Services to ensure seamless, and uninterrupted access to, and discovery of, the Library’s electronic resources.
