Digital Asset Management Lead

The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Lead will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate across the River Campus Libraries in support of digital preservation and scholarly assets management. The position offers the opportunity to help steward the future of our digital content management platforms, including the digital preservation platform, Preservica, and the next-generation institutional repository. The person in this role will work closely with multiple academic library departments, including Digital Initiatives, Rare Books and Special Collections, Metadata Services, Research Initiatives, Learning Initiatives, and Library Information Technologies, as well as faculty and staff, to help shape policy and praxis around digital preservation and institutional research platforms. The work will be a combination of project-oriented and task-oriented, individual and team-based work, and short-term and long-term planning. The DAM Lead will work with current standards for preservation and scholarly repositories, gain additional working knowledge of structured data and metadata standards, build upon core IT skills such as scripting, data ingest, data governance, and data analysis relevant to repository assets, and other platforms for content management. This role will also supervise a full-time Digital Assets Technician.
