Open Scholarship Repository Manager
Description
Princeton University seeks an innovative, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual to support current and future open scholarship repository services by providing day-to-day management of Princeton’s Open Access repository and technical operation of Princeton’s research data and institutional repository infrastructure. In collaboration with colleagues within the Library and key campus partners, this position will explore and implement workflows and technologies that enable Princeton researchers to more effectively share their scholarly outputs in ways that promote open discovery, effective re-use, and long-term preservation.
Reporting to the Director of Research Data and Open Scholarship (RDOS), this position is part of a newly formed Library department that is building a new, forward-looking service oriented toward Open Research goals, providing the Princeton research community with expert guidance, resources, tools, and training to support and promote effective open and reproducible research practices. RDOS provides services that support democratizing information, including open access to research outputs, and managing, curating, and preserving digital research data in ways that maximize usability, transparency, and sustainability.
The repository manager will coordinate, deliver, monitor, assess, and advance repository infrastructure and operations, and will contribute to the collaborative development and delivery of critical repository services. This position will work closely with research data specialists, information technology specialists, and scholarly communications staff to support RDOS’s repository infrastructure and services, including open access deposit workflows and dataset curation and publication.
