Client Services Librarian [Circulation, Reference, and IT Help Desk Coordinator]
Description
Albion College invites applications for the Client Services Librarian
position. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to
a
campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging. The Client
Services Librarian is responsible for managing and coordinating the
Library’s
public services, including circulation and reference services, as well as
the
newly formed Client Services desk. The ideal candidate will provide
leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to Client Services while
fostering a creative, collaborative, inclusive, team-oriented, work
environment. The Client Services desk is comprised of the services formerly
known as the IT Help Desk and the Library Reference/Circulation Desk. This
position is tasked with joining these services to create a newly designed,
one-stop service point with an exemplary customer service model. The
incumbent
will manage four Client Services staff and approximately 20 student
employees.
This position reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer and the
Director
of the Library.
