Description

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Libraries seeks a User Experience and Education Coordinator for the Regional Medical Library for Region 2 of the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM).  Funded by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) through a cooperative agreement (2021-2026), the MUSC Libraries’ serves as the headquarters for Region 2, one of seven regions in the NNLM Program.  Region 2 comprises Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The mission of the NNLM is to advance the progress of medicine and improve the public's health by providing U.S. researchers, health professionals, public health workforce, educators, and the public with equal access to biomedical and health information resources and data.  

Under the general direction of the Executive Director (ED), the User Experience and Education Coordinator develops, plans, and provides services in specified programs not limited to but including outreach and education, health literacy, and consumer health. The User Experience and Education Coordinator supports Region 2 by developing and teaching programs and resources to health professionals, consumers, public health workers, and other users of the National Library of Medicine's (NLM's) resources.
