Description

The S&T Publications/Library group at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is seeking a technical librarian with knowledge and experience in data management to satisfy the scientific data information needs of researchers and staff. With support from the Scientific Data Management Strategy Team, the successful candidate is expected to develop and lead data management plan education and consultation services for PNNL’s research community. The candidate will provide 1:1 consultation to researchers and be an advocate for the role data has in the scholarly publishing lifecycle. (Approximately 50% of the position will be involved in these tasks.)

This position will also provide technical support and troubleshooting for management and delivery of e-resources, including their integration in the ExLibris’ Alma environment and will provide technical direction/expertise to help better integrate the publication content in the Laboratory’s Information Release system with related datasets and other research outputs as they flow into other lab tools and systems. (Approximately 30% of the position will be involved in these tasks.)

In addition, the candidate will be part of an outstanding team responsible for building relationships with PNNL’s scientists and engineers that enable opportunities to provide support directly to research projects.
