Digital Applications Librarian, Oregon State University Libraries
Oregon State University Libraries seeks a collaborative, innovative and service-oriented Librarian to develop and implement next generation digital access and storage systems. The incumbent joins an agile and innovative library that is responsible for the development of ScholarsArchive@OSU (the 6th ranked U.S. university digital repository), internationally recognized digital collections, the Oregon Explorer Natural Resources Digital Library, the LibraryFind Metasearch Application, the Library à la Carte Content Management System and other digital initiatives.
The Digital Applications Librarian is part of the Libraries’ new Center for Digital Scholarship and Services and reports to the head of the center. The center provides services to support the creation, organization, management and use of digital scholarship and develops digital access tools. The digital access and information management tools currently supported by the center include DSpace, Open Journals System, Archivists’ Toolkit, Omeka, CONTENTdm, Summon/1Search, EZProxy and other emerging applications.
This position is a full-time, 12-month tenure-track position and the Digital Applications Librarian is a member of OSU Libraries’ faculty. Library faculty serve on local, state and national committees and task forces and share expertise and research results with others via publications, poster sessions and presentations.
