Software Engineer, Library Systems
Description
Stanford Medicine's Innovation and Translation team seeks a full-stack software developer, to support and innovate Lane Medical Library’s digital infrastructure. The library’s digital front door (https://lane.stanford.edu) is Lane’s busiest branch, connecting Stanford’s talented community with the knowledge they need for biomedical discovery. This software developer will write high quality code to integrate legacy library applications and new ones alike into a seamless user experience in support of research, education and clinical care at the School of Medicine, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and Stanford Health Care.
Reporting to the Director of Academic Application Services and in close collaboration with Lane’s Knowledge Integration Team, this developer will work with two Lane software developers and collaborate with the other members of the Stanford Medicine Technology and Digital Solutions group to assure Lane’s code both conforms to and informs Stanford Medicine’s software development practices. This highly collaborative role will work in close communication with Lane librarians and users, and collaborate with staff from Stanford University Libraries and University IT.
