Minimum Qualifications
An ALA-accredited degree or equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript and functional knowledge of at least one other programming language (PHP preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems (Drupal preferred)
Experience with training related to web technologies, software, tools, and solutions
Experience with or knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and implementation
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Articulate policies and procedures, maintain, and develop the Library's web presence
Develop the library’s mobile web presence.
Maintain and develop the library’s intranet
Work with stakeholders (faculty, admin, staff, students) to design/redesign/assess library’s web presence
Conduct/coordinate usability studies of website
Maintain awareness of emerging trends in web design
Chair Web Working Group and work with content managers to maintain web content
Work with Communication Committee to coordinate social media presence
Represent the library and work with campus IT counterparts
Serve as an expert in web technologies for library staff/faculty
Participate in a robust library instruction program
Meet library faculty guidelines for promotion and tenure, including requirements for scholarship and service to the library, the university, and the profession.
