Library Data and Repository Analyst

Position Function       

Support and maintain repository solutions and library services platform solutions for the University Libraries to advance student and faculty learning and research, and provide guidance and planning for solution upgrade processes and enhancement implementation, perform analysis and assessment of resource usage.

Minimum Education  

MLS/MLIS/MIS degree with emphasis in digital library technologies, user service platforms, or human-computer interaction.

Minimum Experience 

At least three years providing technical support for online library solutions; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Other         

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide application administration, analysis and support for the CONTENTdm-based Digital Media Repository solution used by University Libraries for discovery of digital content.

Provide application administration, analysis and support for the DSpace-based Cardinal Scholar institutional repository solution used by University Libraries to support open access.

Develop procedures and guidelines for updating, implementing, operating, and supporting library solutions and systems.

Manage, implement, analyze, and support the Library Services Platforms including ExLibris Alma and Summon over Alma operated by University Libraries.

Provide technical support for academic database platforms, including adding local branding, access control, link resolver configuration, and managing usage reports.

Collaborate with colleagues on projects related to existing and new solutions.

Manage and perform release and version upgrades as needed and as directed.

Actively participate in and contribute to the activities of the Libraries, university, and profession through such opportunities as related professional organizations, presentations, committee service, publication, etc.; keep abreast of professional literature and scholarly developments in areas of specialization and pursue opportunities for relevant professional development.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
