Collection Analyst
Description
The Hesburgh Libraries at the University of Notre Dame seeks a creative and forward-thinking individual to join the Resource Acquisitions and Discovery program (RAD) as the Collection Analyst. The Collection Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and preparing library collection data to inform Library administrative decision-making related to resource acquisition. This position applies advanced technical knowledge to access and harvest collection metadata stored in disparate library and vendor systems. The Collection Analyst synthesizes findings into clear, concise presentations easily understood by those who require them. This position is a member of the Interlibrary Loan & Acquisitions Services (ILLAS) team and works primarily as an individual contributor. As directed, the Collection Analyst shares basic knowledge, skills, and routines with other unit members to maximize available unit resources, support this emerging skill area and meet unit goals.
