Description

Reporting to the Director of Library Technology Services, the Digital Repositories Development Librarian oversees, manages and develops digital asset management systems for the University Libraries’ digitized content. Collaborating with stakeholders, this position will assess repository needs, evaluate current solutions, explore emerging technologies and recommend appropriate options. Working with the Unit Director, this position will manage system development and optimization projects as well as share programming and system administration maintenance tasks with Unit colleagues. This position may supervise student/temporary intern workers when appropriate. This position is a tenure-track position.

Qualifications

Knowledge of developments in higher education, scholarly processes, digital initiatives and personnel issues facing academic research libraries. Experience administering digital asset management and repository systems. Experience with Linux/Unix system administration in production environments. Experience using programming and database query languages (e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby, SQL). Experience using scripting and stylesheet languages (e.g. JavaScript, CSS, XSLT).
