Villanova University's Falvey Memorial Library seeks an entrepreneurial and technologically adept archivist to serve as the Preservation and Digital Archivist. Reporting to the Director of Distinctive Collections and Digital Engagement, the Preservation and Digital Archivist will be responsible for constructing, developing, and coordinating a new digital records infrastructure as well as managing all aspects of the University's existing physical archival collections including: acquisitions, preservation, arrangement, and description and outreach. The Preservation and Digital Archivist develops and implements library-wide programs for preservation of digital and physical assets and for disaster preparedness, according to national standards, and provides leadership and direction for comprehensive library preservation programs, including defining and prioritizing needs, establishing goals, objectives, plans, and their implementation in alignment with the library's strategic direction.
