[Job] Systems Librarian, The Seattle Public Library

Created: March 2, 2018

Description

Hi folks,

For some reason the jobs site didn't kick off this email, so I'm sending
this one out manually - apologies if the system sends one out right after
this email!

Sometimes, Life Happens. Our recently hired Systems Librarian is moving on
to attend to non-work matters, so we are again looking for a Systems
Librarian! If you were on the fence about applying the first time around,
here is your second chance.

While the job post below lists a link to job benefits, some of the unlisted
job benefits:

- Working in the iconic Central Library
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle_Central_Library>
- Supportive, collaborative co-workers
- Team-centered departmental approach to both projects and daily work
- Occasional baked goods and thank you post-it notes from your direct
manager

In case you are concerned about all the job duties listed in the
description section, there will be support to get you up and going on those
duties! Our other Systems Librarian (the one who's retiring at the end of
the year) will still be on our team when you start, and will be helping you
through the the first few months of your employment at SPL.

While I am the hiring manager for this search, I'll do my best to answer
any questions you might have about this position. Best of luck for those of
you who apply!

Cheers,
Becky
