Digital Services Librarian
Description
Albion College invites applications for the position of Digital Services
Librarian. This librarian is part of a team that develops and expands
online library services. The Digital Services Librarian assists with the
implementation, troubleshooting, and updating of all library technologies,
including but not limited to the integrated library system, the discovery
service, the Library’s website, its social media presence and library
resource guides. This person will also be involved with reference and
library instruction. Some evening/weekend hours may be required. The
Digital Services Librarian is a professional librarian position that
reports to the Co-Directors of the Library.
*Qualifications:*
- Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA
accredited graduate program
- Experience in website design and development
- Experience with troubleshooting PC and Mac computer hardware and
software
- Knowledge of integrated library systems and library resource
management systems
- Knowledge of cataloging/metadata principles
- Skills in web authoring tools and content management systems
- Skills in coding languages, particularly HTML and CSS
