With apologies for cross-postings, the University of Michigan Library is seeking applicants for the Metadata Services Manager in Technical Services. This position provides leadership for the Metadata Services unit by developing innovative policies and practices which provide continuous, reliable access to the library’s resources. They oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring adherence to local and, where appropriate, national and international standards. Additionally, this position partners strongly with metadata librarians to develop and coordinate ongoing projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, scoping and designing MARC metadata projects in collaboration with stakeholders across the library and developing practices that will support our research community.
