Junior developer
Description
The Equinox Open Library Initiative, a dynamic and dedicated nonprofit
organization serving libraries, is seeking a talented and dedicated
software developer. Our software developers are responsible for
creating innovative solutions to complex library problems using Open
Source software, primarily Evergreen, Koha, and FulfILLment.
We are looking for the following qualities in a candidate:
* Strong customer service focus
* Experience with Perl
* Experience with web front-end development, including modern JavaScript and CSS
* Experience with SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, preferred but not required
* Ability to work well with minimum direction
* Ability to collaborate closely with internal and external
stakeholders on mission-critical projects
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
* Familiarity with libraries and library operations preferred but not required
* Some experience with Linux system administration is a plus
Summary of essential job functions:
* Assist in the development of new features and fixes for software in
use by Equinox's clients
* Assist in the creation of end-user documentation
* Active involvement within the larger Open Source communities
surrounding the various software projects Equinox supports, including
Koha, Evergreen, and FulfILLment

The salary for this position starts at $62,000. Salaries are
