Job Duties:

This is a reposting; you must reapply to be considered.

Implements, supports and maintains Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) software; works with other IT staff to ensure system efficiency and operability; prepares ingest profiles in collaboration with metadata specialists; performs and supports data normalization according to Ohio Digital Network standards; monitors DPLA technology activities and makes recommendations regarding platform enhancements and upgrades; identifies and develops software solutions to business problems; writes test cases and/or scripts for unit and systems testing with minimal to no supervision; uses report generators, data manipulation tools, data query tools, program tracing/debugging tools, software development tools and versioning tools as required; collaborates with Ohio Digital Network Technology Working Group to promoting use of Ohio-related content in DPLA.

Installs, maintains, configures, upgrades, &/or administers hardware &/or software independently in workstation support, network administration, server administration, business continuity, information security, telecommunications & network connectivity, or SAN administration (i.e., single technology domains) where technical work requires specific knowledge to evaluate, select, adapt, & modify standard procedures; devises new approaches to problems encountered; diagnoses, analyzes, & resolves issues for customer(s) in assigned technology domain; promotes system security and awareness by adhering to the Agency's and/or State's IT security policy(s) and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Core undergraduate program in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience.

AND

Experience
Minimum 2 years combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design.

Skill for: workflow analysis; reading comprehension; speaking; service orientation; installation; troubleshooting; critical thinking; operation monitoring; judgment & decision making; systems analysis; systems evaluations; operation analysis; identifying & specifying business requirements; using data recovery tools & techniques; complex problem solving.
Ability to: collaborate with non-IT professionals; prepare meaningful, accurate, & concise reports; stay abreast of current technologies in area of IT Assigned; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions.
