The Archive Sciences Branch in the Operations and Engineering Division (OED) is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to work in the multi-mission archive at the STScI, ensuring that the archive data and meta-data are accurate, easily found, clearly presented and delivered to the user. The systems test engineer in this role will test multiple user interfaces, which have a number of tools and search capabilities to allow the user to search, examine, and select data. The systems test engineer with test all aspects of the system from the outward facing software, to databases, and to the internal services and networks. The systems test engineer will be responsible for reviewing software and system requirements, creating of test cases, executing tests (both manual and automated), reporting defects/bugs, and preparing test plans, procedures and reports.
