Description
This is the position of Senior Grant Program Specialist with responsibility for priorities within the national digital platform portfolio development within the Office of Library Services and common applications across the agency. The incumbent provides expertise internally within the Office of Library Services and externally on grant programs and other initiatives relating to ongoing development of digital library infrastructure and services nationwide. In particular, this specialist will be responsible for a portfolio of projects related to digital inclusion, national digital infrastructure and capacity with emphasis on public libraries. Equally important is the role the incumbent plays in providing expertise agency-wide on related digital policy matters such as broadband access.Salary Range
$77,490.00 to $119,794.00 /Per Year (GS 12 or 13)
Qualifications
1. Knowledge of key principles institutions and organizations that are leaders in the field of digital inclusion; knowledge of current research, trends and challenges in digital inclusion encompassing public access to broadband, digital literacy and related services.
2. Knowledge of the key venues at which digital inclusion, digital services and infrastructure in libraries is discussed, including conferences, educational programs, and other activities; and knowledge of current work to identify best practices in digital inclusion.
3. Knowledge of the broad range of issues and challenges in library practice, services, and research.
4. Experience in reviewing, managing or administering an IMLS grant or a significant portion of a grant from a public or private grant program that awards grants to libraries and/or to graduate schools of library and information science.
