Description
The Library at Carleton University invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time position as Associate University Librarian (Collections and Technology). This position is a preliminary (confirmation-track) appointment at the rank of Librarian 4 (the highest rank).Applicants must have a master’s degree in library and information studies from an ALA-accredited program, or equivalent, and a minimum of eight years of experience in substantial and progressively more responsible management positions in an academic or research library.
The portfolio of the AUL (Collections and Technology) includes the Collection Development and Acquisitions (CDA), Cataloguing and Collection Maintenance (CCM) and Systems departments which together comprise a staff of approximately 40 people.
