Web Content Specialist

Skagit Valley College has an opening for Web Content Specialist.  This Web Content Specialist position calls for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web content management, writing and editing for the web, training and site management.

The Web Content Specialist is responsible for developing the web presence of Skagit Valley College. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, the Specialist will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards as the site develops and changes. Creation, implementation and maintenance of a user design and navigation scheme with a primary focus on the end user experience is the goal. Duties include basic editorial functions, managing user permissions, and crafting site promotions, email newsletters, and online communication and online outreach campaigns. This position must work closely with design/graphics/editorial personnel, administration, technicians, faculty, staff, and students to ensure that best practices are followed and content is accurate, current, and meets the college brand and editorial standards. 

The Web Content Specialist will work under tight deadlines and must have strong communication skills and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. This position is based at the main campus in Mount Vernon, WA and reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
