Dartmouth College Library seeks an experienced web content manager/strategist to join a team of highly collaborative, supportive, and service-oriented librarians, administrators, and technical staff.  This 2-year term position will lead the Library’s strategic planning for content development as part of its migration to the Drupal content management system. The selected individual will be responsible for assisting in the development of all aspects of the Library’s website, in particular content messaging and distribution strategy and governance, contributing to web design work as necessary. This position may collaborate with other Library colleagues to contribute to and implement library wide digital strategies.

REQUIRED: B.A./B.S. in communication, computer science, human-computer interaction, digital arts, or related field; or the equivalent in education and experience; 3-4 years’ experience managing content and production for large academic, library, or non-profit organizational websites; demonstrated understanding of current web technologies, and experience in the developing and/or managing of digital publishing systems, and content management systems, such as Drupal; demonstrated ability to apply user-centered design principles and methodologies; experience working effectively in and fostering highly collaborative, team-oriented environments.

PREFERRED: Proficiency with web programming/scripting languages; experience in higher education environment; graduate degree and/or post-Baccalaureate field-related certifications.

RANK AND SALARY: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full benefits package including 22 vacation days; comprehensive health care; retirement plans, including TIAA-CREF; and relocation assistance.
