Position Title: Web Development Specialist
Location: Prince George's County Memorial Library System
9601 Capital Lane, Largo, MD
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week). Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
Salary: $43,785 + generous benefits package
Earn additional pay for fluent (reading, writing, and speaking) Spanish, French, Chinese (Mandarin) and American Sign Language.

Examples of Duties:
Responsible for the content development and maintenance of all Library web pages using HTML, CSS, Drupal, JavaScript and SQL. Improves online usability and accessibility. Archives and backs up content. Installs and configures modules. Troubleshoots functionality issues. Configures and integrates the Public Catalog with website. Coordinates the work of content contributors. Keeps up-to-date with new technological developments. Delivers training programs to end-users at Library. Provides support to staff and customers on issues relating to the library’s website, online catalog and online resources and services. Keeps abreast of professional developments and seeks to continually improve performance. Performs other duties or responsibilities related to the position.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; two (2) years of web design web development and app experience; and course work or certifications on computer science, web design and development or associated topics. Thorough knowledge of library resources, services, techniques, policies and procedures. General knowledge of PC hardware and software. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. Ability to develop and integrate customized modules into applications. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to problem-solve; attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with diverse individuals and groups. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment and work in a team environment. Work involves occasional light lifting, such as three to four reams of paper, four or five books, or other materials (up to 20 pounds); and use of computer, telephone and office equipment.
