The office of U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland is seeking library science, archives, and history students to complete internships during the summer of 2016 in Washington, D.C. The interns will assist with various projects including inventories of photographs and paper records; digitization projects; management of digital files and electronic records including audiovisual files; and research and writing for history projects. The interns may also help with other miscellaneous office tasks and attend workshops and events for Senate interns.

Applicants must be Maryland residents or attending college in the state. Work experience in archives or knowledge of recent congressional history, Maryland history, or women’s history a plus.
