Description
The UNT Libraries seeks an innovative leader with strong people skills to grow and maintain the digital and audio collections of the UNT Music Library (http://www.library.unt.edu/music). The Music Librarian for Digital and Audio Services is responsible for overseeing digital and audio projects for the Music Library. Digital project responsibilities include identifying potential projects, project planning/design, and acting as the liaison to the Libraries' Digital Projects Unit and the User Interfaces Unit. Audio duties consist of supervision of the Music Library's sound and video collections, audio equipment, and Ozier Sound Recording Archive, including planning, digital reserves, selection of recordings, gift acquisitions of recordings, and reference. The Music Librarian for Digital and Audio Services serves on library and university committees and workgroups and is active in professional organizations. General responsibilities also include assisting in training and supervision of student assistants and graduate library assistants, staffing the Music Services Desk and Sandborn Music Reading Room as needed, and working with Music Special Collections Librarian on preservation and digitization decisions for print and audiovisual collections.Metadata
