The Colorado State University Libraries is a technologically sophisticated environment with extensive electronic resources and service primarily located in Morgan Library. The Dean of Libraries is the campus Vice President for Information Technology, and Academic Computing and Network Services is part of the Libraries. CSU is making a strong and strategic investment to ensure that our academic libraries meet the needs of the institution, now and into the future. A strong collaboration exists and is burgeoning with the Vice President for Research.Digital Collection Services within CSU Libraries supports CSU’s academic and research needs by providing data management services to researchers, faculty and students; creating and providing access to digital resources through digitization and the application of metadata; and managing the consortial and CSU digital repository, Digital Collections of Colorado (https://dspace.library.colostate.edu/) and its content.
This position is responsible for the coordination and deployment of data services during the research lifecycle. This includes advising researchers on creating and implementing data management plans at CSU; partnering with the College Liaison Librarians in outreach to CSU faculty, working with the Data Management Committee, the Information Science & Technology Center (ISTeC), and the Office of the Vice President for Research; and providing training and consulting services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a scholarly communications program that will provide support services relating to organizing, preserving, and sharing of research data.
