Director of IT Operations HathiTrust Research Center

Description

We seek a dynamic lead DevOps for the HathiTrust Research Center (HTRC), a leading-edge analysis commons for mining massive digitized printed content.   HTRC is collaborative of Indiana University, the University of Illinois, and the HathiTrust (University of Michigan).  The right candidate will give high-level technical and practical expertise and management of IT systems and services.  He or she will apply a significant depth of knowledge in many widely varied technology areas, including computing, security, data and high performance computing while directing the technical activities of the HTRC tech team members on a day-to-day basis; develop and maintain contacts across the HTRC partnership as well as with internal systems groups at IU (Research Technologies, Enterprise Systems). The right candidate will be competent at performing high-level analysis of complicated technical and data architectures to identify and address security vulnerabilities and compliance in collaboration with the IU UISO (University Information Security Office).  This position additionally serves in a broader leadership role as Director of IT Operations in the Data to Insight Center (D2I) at Indiana University.
