Summary:The Digital Asset Coordinator assists with the ongoing development and maintenance of our global digital asset management (DAM) system. The position is based in San Francisco and works closely with internal asset creators and global markets within the International Business Development department. The International Department is the main conduit between the international markets and the corporate office, working cross- functionally in areas related to Marketing/PR, Forecasting/Planning, Production/Supply Chain, Product Development, Creative, and Visual Merchandising. This department is responsible for supporting an efficient flow of information and communication both ways (internally within the corporate office and to markets) in regards to sales, marketing and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ingest assets to the DAM system and apply file-naming conventions; check approval status
for sharing and inspect files for proper formatting and resolution
• Catalog assets using best practices for describing records with consideration of system end users; follow metadata standards, adhere to language guidelines and use controlled vocabulary
• Archive assets according to internal retention guidelines and assist data migration processes
• Collaborate with Legal department on usage restrictions; documents usage in system and externally; perform a regular audit of expiration dates in the DAM system
• Support markets in the process of importing and tagging their projects in DAM system
• Traffic assets and information throughout global organization
• Maintain quality control, rights management, and troubleshooting of assets in DAM system
• Assess daily priorities to ensure projects are scheduled and delivered on time in order of urgency
• Develops and maintains DAM spreadsheets and training guides for users
• Provides customer service, by training and troubleshooting with the departments and the global markets; performs initial diagnosis and directs issues to the appropriate party
• Maintains DAM system user accounts and information to support accurate reporting
• Works alongside departments to upgrade content and improve accessibility of assets
• Assist with AV and IT support at global conferences, ensuring seamless presentations and audio support in collaboration with the Digital Asset Specialist
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 4-year university degree; degree in Library and Information Sciences preferred
• Experience with digital asset and/or content management systems; familiarity with
Cumulus a plus
• High computer literacy with skills in MS Office, databases, Adobe Creative Suite
• Background or interest in archival concepts and cataloging methodology
• Cataloging experience; understanding of taxonomy, metadata standards, DAM best practices
• Basic understanding of creative processes and workflow, including familiarity with a variety of file formats including graphic and video files
• Technical and creative aptitude
• Strong time and project management skills with ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to problem solve and recommend solutions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Positive and team player attitude
• Ability to work cross-functionally with global markets and functional departments delivering assets
