Description
The Darrell W. Krueger Library at Winona State University seeks an energetic, proactive, knowledgeable, and innovative person for the probationary/tenure track position of Web & Digital Services Librarian. All librarians fully participate in faculty governance, general reference assistance, and liaison activities for assigned academic departments, such as collection development, advanced reference, and bibliographic instruction.The Web & Digital Service Librarian is responsible for analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, content coordination and evaluation of the Krueger Library web presence, user interfaces, integrated web applications, and all related mobile environments that enhance the educational experience and improve access to library resources and services. Additional duties include: (1) working collaboratively with other librarians and with university groups to develop library technology strategies; (2) designing and leading the technical implementation of instructional materials, such as online tutorials; (3) collaborating with faculty and staff to provide learning opportunities using innovative technologies/services; (4) initiating and collaborating on outreach activities; and (5) supervising staff and student assistants.
Minimum qualifications for this position are a MLS/MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited institution; basic knowledge of library sources (in print and online); and experience with web and digital services such as LibGuides, discovery tools, HTML/CSS, responsive design user experience and CMS.
