Description

The Catholic University of America Libraries is seeking an innovative, and service-oriented Web Application Librarian (WAL). Reporting to the Head of Electronic Resources & Services, the WAL is responsible for supporting the delivery and discovery of library collections by designing, developing, managing, configuring, and supporting the Libraries’ websites, digital collections, discovery systems, and other digital initiatives. The WAL will provide technical and operational support for web services in the CUA Libraries, as well as participate in training and support of staff and users.

Minimum Qualifications: MLS or MSIS degree from American Library Association-accredited or recognized equivalent. Demonstrated experience in web design and development, with HTML, CSS and web design principles. Knowledge and experience with database technologies (such as MySQL, Oracle, and the SQL language), JQuery, JavaScript, and PHP programming languages. Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
