The University of South Florida Tampa Library is seeking an energetic and creative librarian to develop a vision and provide leadership for the Library’s new Digital Media Commons (DMC) and other digital initiatives. The DMC is a place where students and faculty create digital objects and complete multimedia projects.
The successful candidate combines collaborative leadership with a vision for partnering with faculty and other campus stakeholders to transform traditional curricula into student-centered learning opportunities that feature multimedia, digital humanities collections, and other emerging instructional technologies. Additionally, this position will be responsible for exploring, building, implementing, assessing, and supporting programming for the DMC –– to enhance digital scholarship in the classroom. This position will share supervisory responsibilities for a Library Operations Supervisor who trains and schedules student assistants in the DMC. Drawing on knowledge of relevant technology, the candidate will collaborate with the growing and diverse digital initiatives community on campus.
This is 12-month non-tenure, promotion track faculty position reporting to the Director for Academic Services.
Compensation will be competitive commensurate with experience and qualifications.
