Rails Developer

Description

Hello! My team is seeking a Boston-area Ruby on Rails developer for a library application that involves author name/identity data harvested from author-to-publisher interactions.

• This is intended to be a short-term project over the next few months and we're hoping you're local so we can have some productive initial face-to-face meetings

While the application is currently capturing the data we need, we'd like to focus on some of the user-facing components. We're also looking to integrate both ORCID and ISNI API calls into the application.

We've had some conversations with area Ruby developers and we understand that there is a bit of infrastructure work that needs to be done including a conversion to Rails 4, some restructuring of the code to make it more modular and readable, and the inclusion of tests.  We'd like to pursue these areas before moving into the features described above (and more!).
