Description
Administers the Library’s Integrated Library System and provides access to all the electronic resources (Including, but not limited to, databases, streaming media, etc.); Advises the library and other stakeholders in identifying and implementing new instructional technologies for use in the classroom and for general library use.-Provides leadership and coordination of the library’s Integrated Library System (Voyager ILS) and access to its electronic resources.
-Serves as the systems administrator for the integrated library system including acquisitions, serials, cataloging, circulation, webpac, and reporting features.
-Organizes, plans, schedules, and supervises activities and personnel in the library’s technology services department; assists in budget preparation as it affects hardware, software, and technological devices.
-Trains and supervises technology services staff in technology service department.
-Compiles statistical data and reports regarding technology services.
-Coordinates services between the library and the campus IT Services.
-Reviews current literature and monitor trends in order to recommend new hardware, software and other technological solutions to support the library’s instruction program.
-Promotes, supports and participates in student recruitment and retention efforts
-Troubleshoots access problems.
-Manages EZProxy and link resolvers as it pertains to library electronic resources.
-Assists in the maintenance of the Library’s web site in working with the Web Librarian and others and helps create effective workflows and best practices for managing website updates.
-Serves as primary library contact with Campus IT Services department.
-Serves as liaison in subject appropriate academic departments
-Participates in public service desk rotation
-Participates in the library instruction program either teaching or creating reusable learning objects.
-Completes other duties as assigned
