Description
The incumbent serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Library of Congress and the primary adviser to the Librarian of Congress on all information technology matters. The incumbent manages the development of policy changes and organizational changes driven by mission, information technology and/or other external factors. The CIO serves as a member of the Library’s Executive Committee and, through subordinate managers, is responsible for all of the Library’s information technology needs, and participates with the other senior staff of the Library in the overall management of the agency. Major areas of responsiblity include IT Program Management, Strategic and Operational Planning, Policy Development and Management, providing Advice and Guidance and administering Supervisory and/or Managerial Authorities.How to apply
