Director, Rossell Hope Robbins Library and Koller-Collins Center for English Studies
The River Campus Libraries (RCL) at the University of Rochester seeks a collaborative, visionary leader and scholar for the position of Director, Rossell Hope Robbins Library and the Koller-Collins Center. The Robbins Library houses one of the most comprehensive collections of medieval studies in North America.
The Director will be a forward thinking leader who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the changing nature of scholarship and the implications for special collections, blending traditional and innovative practice to integrate special collections content and services with the teaching, learning and research mission of the University of Rochester. In collaboration with related professionals, the Director will expand access to and preservation of the Library’s unique materials in support of delivering services to a diverse academic community.
Successful candidates will have an advanced degree and record of scholarship and/or teaching in medieval studies, and be conversant about the issues facing special collections and research libraries in the 21st century. The Director will report to the Assistant Dean, Special Collections and Preservation.
