Applications are invited for the post of Librarian (Systems Support and Development) based at the University's King's Meadow Campus.The successful candidate will:
- provide specialist technical advice and direction relating to the ongoing development and improvement of the library management systems which are currently based around Ex Libris products
- inform the development and implementation of best practice resource discovery systems to ensure that staff and students gain maximum benefits from the University’s £5 million annual investment in library materials
- support the discovery of and access to electronic resources and also act as shibboleth co-ordinator for the Library participating in the development of digital library services.
This is a key role which requires an experienced and committed individual who is positive about the need to continually improve our services with a good approach to problem solving and innovation. The role requires liaison and cooperation with a wide range of colleagues across both Libraries and Research and Learning Resources and with Information Services.
