Description
The Digital Projects Librarian will work across Library departments to define and implement research data management and repository services at Arizona State University. He/she will provide critical leadership as the ASU Libraries works with other units to develop research data and repository services, and to build a successful and sustainable data management infrastructure.As a member of the ASU Libraries Informatics and Cyberinfrastructure Services department (ICS) the digital projects librarian will serve as the liaison for digital projects, data management and repository services for faculty and students on all campuses and in all disciplines. He/she will develop and maintain partnerships with ASU Departments, Schools, Centers, and Colleges to help steward digital projects, build collections, and develop data management policies and workflows.
The digital projects librarian will help to identify, create, and maintain unique scholarly and general interest collections for the Libraries digital repositories. He/she must also work on continuously improving customer services, assisting with project documentation, and facilitating change for the ASU Digital Repository, data management assessment and planning, and other repository services. The digital projects librarian reports to the Head of ICS.
