DescriptionWe have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Information Systems division of the Library and Information Services Directorate. You will work primarily with SOAS’ student facing systems and will be heavily involved in the planning and development of the new Student Hub being built as part of a major renovation of the Senate House Building in Russell Square.
You will have extensive experience of working with end users to define and refine business processes and have gained experience in translating these into specifications for IS teams to use to develop systems.
You will have experience and knowledge of all phases of the development cycle of a business process and will have detailed knowledge of the operation of enterprise class information systems. You will have experience of digital technologies and exposure to either a development language or SQL. You will have experience of project delivery.
Good communication skills and customer care skills are vital as you will be working closely with all elements of the business and will be networking with colleagues from other institutions. You will be able to demonstrate a proactive, tenacious and effective approach to problem solving and to the resolution of complex technical issues.
