Description
ISER is seeking an experienced Data Manager to join the Systems Design and Development Team supporting the Understanding Society project at The Institute of Social & Economic Research (ISER), a social science research centre at the University of Essex, located at the main campus in Colchester, Essex.You will be responsible for data processing and management, including appropriate software development and the production of data products. You will hold operational and developmental responsibility for many of the regular and ad hoc data processing tasks that are central to the Understanding Society project. You will also be the first point of call for all data related queries and requests.
You will have the ability to understand and manage complex data, both at a high level as well as forensically at a very detailed level when necessary. You will also possess excellent communication skills in order to collaborate with other members of the ISER Development and Operations team, the wider Understanding Society team, colleagues in our partner organisations, and other stakeholders.
You should be educated to degree level or possess equivalent relevant experience for this post.
