Description
The Planning and Data Services Coordinator specializes in developing and managing data collection processes and use of data for program planning and evaluation. The Coordinator manages timely and accurate data collection and reporting for Nebraska library participation in national library statistical programs, and verifies public library accreditation requirements for state aid to public libraries eligibility and payments. As part of the Library Commission’s management team, the coordinator assists in the administration of Nebraska’s Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) state program including preparation of LSTA plans and reports; and compiling information for program evaluation, analysis and reporting.Education/Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited library and information studies program; plus previous experience in a professional or administrative level position, planning, and policy analysis; knowledge and experience in use of data collection and database tools. Ability to develop and maintain effective processes for collection and organization of data, and ability to interpret and communicate data and programmatic information.
