Penn State University Libraries Department for Information Technologies is seeking a User-Centered Web Applications Developer. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with library interface customization teams to integrate Web 2.0 technologies into existing platforms and resources and to develop new tools, plugins, widgets, etc. geared to making library collections and services accessible and available to users in ways they desire, such as on mobile devices. Responsibilities include monitoring trends in user-centered Web design and emerging Web technologies, creation of user-centered web tools and widgets, integrating Web technologies into the Libraries enterprise software systems, and providing regular communication to library employees.
