Brigham Young University-Hawaii seeks a creative, innovative professional to serve as the Systems Librarian beginning Fall 2014. This newly created faculty position serves under the direction of the University Librarian and will provide leadership, management, and support for library systems and applications at the Joseph F. Smith Library. Ability and interest in web design and development is a plus. Sensitivity to and appreciation of linguistic and cultural diversity in Asia-Pacific region are essential. It is anticipated that this appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor rank but outstanding candidates at higher ranks are encouraged to apply.BYU-Hawaii is a 4-year undergraduate University with 2,500 students located in Laie, Hawaii. The institution is sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and preference is given to candidates who are members of the sponsoring church. Observance of the university’s behavioral code and dress and grooming standards is a specific condition of employment.
