Description
Montana State University Library in Bozeman, MT seeks a 12 month, tenure-track Electronic Resources & Discovery Services (ERDS) Librarian who has primary responsibility for acquisition and maintenance of electronic resources and for providing access to these and other resources through our Discovery Services. The MSU Library is migrating from Summon to Primo Discovery Service and is expanding its implementation from a single library to ten academic libraries across Montana. The EDRS Librarian is the lead on this implementation. The ERDS Librarian serves as a member of the Collection Development Management Team, oversees staff member time in support of ERDS, and will lead statewide information resource development, help the public troubleshoot access issues, and coordinate across library departments. As a member of the Library faculty, the ERDS Librarian is expected to meet the University’s research and service requirements for promotion and tenure.Required: Masters degree from an ALA accredited graduate program or equivalent; demonstrated experience with support and development of discovery interfaces; demonstrated experience with electronic resource management tools; knowledge of current best practices in electronic resources acquisition and management; awareness of issues surrounding scholarly communication and open access.
Preferred: Post-MLS experience in an academic or research library; experience with ExLibris services; experience with troubleshooting systems, documenting progress, and communicating solutions, particularly with regard to electronic products and services; experience providing library instruction and acting as a subject liaison; experience with human resource management.
