Description
Responsibilities: engage in acquisition, processing, preservation, digitization, promotion, and use of the unit’s collections, programs, and services; contribute to the development, management, and promotion of the University Libraries’ digital initiatives and transformation to a predominately digital environment.Minimum qualifications: MLS/MLIS/MIS degree from an ALA accredited program with course work or equivalent experience in archives and/or manuscripts at time of appointment; experience with information technology applications in an archives and/or library environment, including imaging technology and electronic databases; working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications; effective oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; assignment may require working some evenings and/or weekends.
Preferred qualifications: experience working in an academic library and university archives/special collections setting with manuscript collections, photographs, audio, film, video, and electronic formats; experience with Archivists’ Toolkit, Archon, or other archival collection management system.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Salary up to $46,500 plus excellent benefits.
