The University of Manitoba Libraries seeks a dynamic, highly motivated, service-oriented person or the position of User Experience Librarian at a General/Assistant Librarian rank to begin February 1, 2014, or as soon as possible thereafter. This position normally has a two year probationary period and the salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in library and/or information studies from an ALA accredited or equivalent institution;
- Knowledge and understanding of best practices, current issues and trends in assessment and usability;
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Relevant experience in a library or research environment;
- Course work or credentials in usability testing;
- Experience with assessment instruments.
