The Iowa State University Library is seeking TWO experienced, knowledgeable, and user focused archivists to join the Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA).  These newly created positions will build on an already growing program that engages and encourages innovative research, interdisciplinary education, exploration, and discovery.  Supporting the land-grant ideals of putting science, technology and human creativity to work, SCUA staff strive to enrich learning and encourage investigation.

 

The Lead Processing Archivist (Librarian II or III) will manage the Special Collections and University Archives manuscript and archival holdings, focusing on arrangement and description, cataloging, preservation, and electronic records management.

The Assistant University Archivist (Librarian I or II) will assist in the development of university collections through the acquisition, appraisal, and promotion of historical records produced by the university’s faculty, staff, and students, including the capture of university-related websites and social media.
