We have a strong reputation for service excellence and the college libraries trust us to deliver services and expertise in line with our mandate to create efficiencies, cost savings, and capacity across the system. Our reputation would not have been built, nor could it be maintained, without the skills, knowledge, and experience of the extraordinary members of the OCLS team.

Your Opportunity

OCLS’s current IT infrastructure supports a wide range of services that drive our operations and service delivery to the colleges. It consists of a managed service environment, a small on-prem network, and SaaS support by several third-party providers. • Manage the relationships with OCLS’s third party hosting, system support and application providers, assist with problem resolution and scope system enhancements.

  • Oversee software upgrades, patch applications, and conduct testing to ensure reliability of library system(s), applications and the OCLS infrastructure.

  • Participate in system and application problem-solving efforts involving service leads and cross- departmental expertise

  • Understand and prioritize stakeholder and service leads needs; translate their requests into application and/or system-based functionality.

  • Address technical problems and recommend approaches to streamline and integrate processes and systems to improve overall efficiency and security.

  • Recommend, design, and implement new IT initiatives and infrastructure upgrades.

  • Participate in the development of internal support documentation and reports to assist staff and management with decision-making, training, and system performance management.

  • Stay current with developments in systems administration technology and SaaS and recommend ways for OCLS to improve our usage of these tools.
