Recruitment has begun for the position of Head of Data Services for Washington University Libraries (https://library.wustl.edu/). The incumbent will report to the Associate University Librarian for Digital Scholarship and Technology Services. 

Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for the Digital Scholarship and Technology Services division at Washington University Libraries, the Head of Data Services will direct the Libraries’ research services and programmatic initiatives to the WU campus for GIS, data curation, research data management, data visualization, and other relevant areas in support of scholarly research needs. Focus areas of the incumbent will include performing administrative duties and managing a team of 5 professionals in the Data Services unit; directing the research support services in the Libraries that support scholarly needs for GIS, research data management, and data curation; overseeing the management of Data Services’ technical infrastructure and resources, including for the Research Studio, GIS services, data analytics, and data management in the Libraries; leading the development and implementation of education and outreach programming for research data services; and fostering collaborations within and outside of the Libraries to support data-intensive research.
