Florida Center for Library Automation
Is it chilly where you are? Kind of grey? Come on down to the sunny South! It was 78 degrees today and nice. Strawberries and lettuce looking great in the garden.
The Florida Center for Library Automation offers the Florida Digital Archive as a service to the eleven publicly funded universities of Florida. The Florida Digital Archive (FDA) is a long-term preservation repository dedicated to ensuring that digital materials deposited today will be usable far into the future using the hardware and software technologies of the time. The FDA is based on a locally developed preservation application called DAITSS, which is also available in an open source release (see http://daitss.fcla.edu).
This position is responsible for planning, designing, developing and implementing architectures and applications that support the Florida Digital Archive, including but not limited to DAITSS. The position will function as team leader for the group of developers working on DAITSS and related applications.
